Board of Revision Public Notice

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the 2027 Assessment Roll for the Rural Municipality of Ellice-Archie has been delivered to the Municipal Office at 318 Railway Avenue in the Village of McAuley and is open for public inspection during regular business hours.  Applications for revision may be made in accordance with sections 42 & 43 of the Municipal Assessment Act.

42(1) APPLICATION FOR REVISION

A person in whose name property has been assessed, a mortgagee in possession of property under section 114(1) of The Real Property Act, an occupier of premises who is required under the terms of a lease to pay the taxes on the property, the authorized agent of the person, mortgagee or occupier, or the assessor may make application for revision of an assessment roll with respect to the following matters:

            a)  liability to taxation;          
            b)  amount of an assessed value;
            c)  classification of property; or
            d)  a refusal by an assessor to amend the assessment roll under Subsection 13(2).

43(1) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

An application for revision must:

            (a)  be made in writing;
            (b)  set out the roll number and legal description of the assessable property for which a revision is sought;            
            (c)  state the grounds on which the application is based; and
            (d)  be filed by
                  (1) delivering it or causing it to be delivered to the RM of Ellice-Archie Municipal Office located in McAuley or St. Lazare, or
                  (2) serving it upon the secretary, at least 15 days before the scheduled sitting date of the Board of Revision.

The Board of Revision will sit on Friday, November 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the council chambers of the R.M. of Ellice-Archie, 318 Railway Avenue, McAuley, Manitoba to hear applications that have been duly deposited.

The FINAL date on which applications must be received by the Secretary of the Board is Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The Board shall not consider applications which do not comply with the above.
