Assiniboine West Watershed District was formed January 1st from the amalgamation of the Lake of the Prairies Conservation District, the Little Saskatchewan River Conservation District and the Upper Assiniboine River Conservation District as a result of the provincial legislation modernizing the Province of Manitoba's natural resource conservation policy.
